Parish Resources

Bereavement Ministry

The purpose of this ministry is to pray for, comfort and care for loved ones grieving over the death of a St. James parishioner.  Any adult parishioner is welcome to become part of this ministry of care. A Grief Support Group will meet on the 1st Thursday of each month, at 7:00 pm in the brides’ room. We want to encourage the sharing of thoughts and a healthy release of feelings; and ensure that no member of the parish family will grieve alone.

Ice Cream Social

The Annual Ice Cream Social is the major fundraiser for the Knights of Columbus and the Altar Society.  The last Saturday of July each year, these two groups join together in sponsoring the fun of making homemade ice cream, sloppy joes, and desserts as well as host the many booths.  All members of the parish are encouraged to participate and have fun.
